Simply Gardening Tips

Feeding Birds

Did you know that the best time of the year to feed birds is in April / May?

But unfortunately this is the time when some people stop because they think the weather is warming up and they can feed themselves!

Feeding Tips!

Only use peanuts that are fit for human consumption! If they are not fit for us, they will also not be fit for the birds!

Regularly clean bird feeders with boiling water or disinfectant, feather build up can spread disease.

Avoid peanuts during the breeding season, if they are fed to chicks they will choke and die.

Provide water as well as food, its essential for drinking and feather maintenance!
