Kitchen Garden Magazine

Each month a write a double page editorial in "Kitchen Garden". The feature is all about the John Whitgift Academy school garden & features the students and all the grow.

All about me.....

I have worked all over the world gardening and designing landscape areas until 2005 when I knew it was the right time to start my own gardening business. Initially called "Simply Gardening" I attracted lots of attention with the show gardens that I built and the different way that I think about the volume that can be introduced to garden areas.

I always guarantee a personal service if its cutting your hedge or working on a full blown design for your garden.

My parents, grandparents and great grandparents were all involved with the horticultural industry from market gardeners to designers of gardens in East Riding, Kent and France in the early 1900's.

I have worked around the world which includes Malta, USA, Sweden, Finland and Russia. I have also worked extensively around the home counties when I lived in Kent for a number of years.

Included in all the gardening work, design and commercial projects is running of gardening clubs in Schools. These are gardening clubs with a difference with a difference and are mostly all around the Humber area. The clubs are normally run within the schools hours so every child will at sometime be involved. I am teaching all sorts of gardening techniques some of which even the gardening experts haven't heard of! These include French Intensive Gardening, Japanese Tomato growing, African "Keyhole" growing bed recycled greenhouses made form plastic 2 Ltr Bottles.
