build of "A World Outside the Classroom" show garden at the NEC in Birmingham and
won another prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Silver medal and
we
also won the peoples award for favourite show garden which for us is
just as important as its totally what the public thought of our
garden!

here for a virtual tour of the
garden.

The fruit and vegetables
were the best I have seen and worthy of a show garden. If you would
like to order any of them now the show is finished
Gardens or
here for the plant list.
The show is now over but
we thought you might like to keep up with the gardens progress as
its now almost 100% rebuilt at Leys farm Junior School in
Bottesford.

Rebuild

Pictured above is the
completed garden. We worked hard with Paul Finnis Landscaping from
Barrow upon Humber to ensure it was done way before the deadline
date of Monday, June 8th.
What is the most fabulous
part of this garden is that its going in its entirety back to Leys
Farm Junior school, teachers, students and parents will, I am sure
love this garden!
All about
our show garden....
We
have teamed up with Victoriana Nursery to build a school children's
garden at this years BBC Gardeners World Live June 10th to 14th.
Then after the show the same garden will be rebuilt at Leys Farm
Junior School in Bottesford, North Lincolnshire.
The
garden will feature a under glass growing area, semi shade seating
area, raised vegetable and herb beds, fruit area, loggery and
wildlife area. Composting, water saving, recycling and more will
also feature in the garden.

As our
project gains in momentum all the press notices and media coverage
that we are lucky enough to receive will be detailed here for you to

Leys Farm Junior School in Bottesford is an innovative school
situated in North Lincolnshire. They already have a health schools
award, Arts Council Gold Award, food for life award, eco schools and
more!
Leys Farm
Juniors also have an established gardening club run by Mrs Elliot of
which all sorts is grown in the garden and cooked in the kitchen,
even sprouts are an inspiration and loved by the children! The head
teacher Mr E Gibbs is always keen to develop the horticulture side
with the children and this show in the children's eagerness to get
growing.
The
school really do deserve a show garden type kitchen garden as we
know they really will make the most of it with the children.
Just look
at what the school has done:

The Royal
Horticultural Society are also going to use the garden as soon as
its back at the school as they are offering twilight training to
teachers in North Lincolnshire, so all in all this garden is really
going to set the standards. |
